The therapist imparts to the client, a feeling of pleasant sensations and effortless movements through gentle, subtle rocking motions. This movement penetrates to the very core of the body that can still remember feeling effortless and playful. (Muscle memory) The client walks away feeling “lighter” WITH MORE EASE OF MOVEMENT!

The practitioner uses the weight of her or his full body, with both hands, (not just fingers or thumbs) to penetrate the deep tissue of the muscles and connective tissue of the joints. This allows the therapist to go slowly, and feel the tissue completely so she knows just exactly how much pressure to use to gently remove the first and subsequent layers of toxins in the fluid of the muscles.

Structural massage is completely holistic, every muscle and joint, from the head to the toes, is treated in each session. They are all connected and rarely does the client know, until touched, just how sore they are in muscles that have never been worked on by other massages they have had in the past. More time and energy is always applied to injured areas, without neglecting the whole body. People feel better for days, not just an hour or two!

The client can actually see and feel the difference with every single treatment. They can watch as their foot moves as much as 1 or 2 inches back to its proper alignment! The same thing happens to their shoulders and neck, they may not be able to see that change, but they can certainly feel the difference as their shoulders move down where they are supposed to be and THEY CAN TURN THEIR NECK WITHOUT PAIN!

Structural Massage does not leave bruises, no matter how deep the therapist works! It is gentle enough to treat infants, mothers during pregnancy, children, the injured and the elderly, yet powerful enough to effectively treat Athletes and Body builders!

The goal of all Structural bodywork is to re-align the skeletal system by lengthening the connective tissue that connects bone to joint.

Structural massage works gently to re-align the skeletal system by slowly removing the toxins from the muscles and lengthening the connective tissue than inserts from muscle to bone.

Stress is the number one cause of toxins in the muscle. When you are stressed, the adrenal gland “pumps” the muscles with adrenal fluid, when you start to relax; the fluid withdraws back into the gland leaving a residue of toxins that stay in the fluid of the muscles. This builds up over time and the result is sore, tight muscles that are painful and prone to injury. Tight muscles then slowly, shrink and shorten the connective tissue to the bone. This “shrinkage” is a major source of joint problems and causes a gradual misalignment of the structure of the skeleton,

Structural massage therapy produces a feeling of “lightness” by helping to increase the flow of synovial fluid in the joints and tendons. It re-educates the muscular system with gentle rocking and stretching movements.

Structural Massage therapy works gently to re-align bones, relax muscles and increase joint mobility. The therapist views the body as an integrated unit so each treatment starts at the feet and massages the whole body, including the neck and head, while focusing on the primary area of pain or dysfunction.
